35kV Class Pad-Mounted Transformers Introduction

35kV class Pad-mounted Transformer is the PSU (power supply unit) for the crypto mining farms, data centers; and they are the Power Distribution Device of the solar farms, wind farms, and for the utility transformer industry. They can transfer 35kV class power to 415/240V, 480/277V, and other power based on customers' needs.

Questions you need to know before purchase

1. What is the information you should know before making your order?

Before purchasing your pad-mounted transformer, knowing some technical specifications of pad-mounted transformers is very important. Daelim engineer team will work on the detailed parts for you, but it's still useful to know some basic parts as below:

1) Primary voltage – Also called High Voltage, Input Voltage. It is the voltage that is provided by the utility. For Pad-mounted Transformer, primary voltage usually has 3 classes: 35kV, 25kV, and 15kV. Daelim can produce based on customer's needs, dual voltage is also available.

2) Secondary voltage – Also known as Low Voltage, Output Voltage. This is the voltage that will power your bitcoin miner or other equipment. Normally there are 415Y/240V, 480Y/277V, etc... Other low voltage classes are also able to design by the Daelim engineer team. Double low voltage is available.

3) Rated capacity – This is the total power that the transformer provides. 2000kVA, 2500kVA, 3000kVA are wildly used for bitcoin mining. Daelim can produce up to 4000kVA with UL listed, higher capacity is also available. For example, a 5MW will need 5000kVA Rated Capacity; a 100MW mining farm will need 100,000kVA, which are 40 units of 2500kVA pad-mounted transformer.

2. Pad-Mounted Transformer Production Process

Mainly production processes are winding, drying, assembly. Before production, our engineer team will design the transformer based on the customer's requirements. After the customer confirms our production drawing, the Daelim purchase team will start to prepare the materials. When the production is finished, we will do the FAT testing in our factory, send the test report to the customer for confirmation. If everything is confirmed by the customer, our professional packing team will arrange the packing by the wooden box or based on requirements. Then send to Shanghai port and ready to go!

3. How to design a Pad-Mounted Transformer?

Pad-mounted transformer is Daelim's HOT selling product, with hundreds of units of experience, our engineer team is very familiar with the ANSI/IEEE & CSA standards pad-mounted transformer design. With such an experienced engineering team, Daelim's design time is the fastest in the market.

For the USA market, our Pad-mounted transformer is designed by ANSI/IEEE C57.12.00 (general standard), C57.12.34 (pad-mounted transformer standard), and tested by ANSI/IEEE C57.12.90 standard.

For the Canadian market, our Pad-mounted transformer is designed by CSA C227.4-06 standard.

Packaging & Delivery

After years of updates and constant adjustments to our packaging plan, finally, through communication with industry experts and international market customers, we finally decided to use at least two layers of wooden pallets for transformer packaging under 3 tons and transformer packaging over 3 tons. Use at least three layers of wooden supports to confirm the center of gravity of the transformer and fix it with rivets. In addition, it also provides customers with two packaging solutions, one is a wooden pallet, and the other is a fully enclosed wooden box. All exported transformer woods are solid wood fumigation logs and have an English fumigation certificate issued by a professional organization.
