1. What Is The Difference Between Single-phase Pad-mounted Transformer and Three-phase Pad-mounted Transformer?
Three-phase Pad-mounted Transformers are mostly used in grid transmission and Industrial electricity.
Single-phase Pad-mounted Transformer is generally used in places where single-phase power is required for civil use, such as household appliances, etc., and its capacity is relatively smaller than three-phase pad-mounted transformer.
Difference Between Single-phase and Three-phase:
(1) The three-phase transformer inputs three-phase symmetrical AC power and outputs three-phase symmetrical AC power. It can provide three-phase power for industrial electrical equipment that requires three-phase power, such as three-phase AC asynchronous motors, etc. Electric household appliances, such as light bulb color TVs, etc., provide single-phase power supply three-phase four-wire power supply mode.
(2) The three-phase transformer inputs three-phase symmetrical AC power and outputs three-phase symmetrical AC power. A single-phase transformer generally means that the primary coil is designed according to a single-phase single-coil, and the secondary can have one or more winding coils. 3. Single-phase Pad-mounted Transformer Sizes

5. Single-phase Pad-mounted Transformer Cost
The production cost mostly depends on the following two points:
(1) Raw materials
(2) Accessories
Raw materials are mainly silicon steel sheet, copper/aluminum, and transformer oil.
The cost of silicon steel sheets, copper, and aluminum are fluctuated according to market conditions, so when the price of raw materials goes down, will be the best time to purchase your transformers.
The transformer oil cost mainly depends on the type of transformer oil.
In most cases, customers will choose mineral oil (Type II) as the cooling oil, it can work in the ambient temperature from -40℃ to +40℃. Mineral oil or synthetic insulating liquid with a fire point less than or equal to 300℃. And the cooling system will be ONAN.
In some other cases, customers will require vegetable oil as the transformer oil, the fire point is greater than 300℃, more safety and environmentally friendly. However, the cost will be higher than mineral oil. The cooling system of the vegetable oil transformer is called KNAN.
